In bed:
if you have a bed that does not offer your back enough support, it could be the reason why you wake up with back-stiffness so one part of protecting your back is having the correct mattress for you.
In The Car:
we spend a significant portion of our days in the car and never think about the seat of the car causing pains in our back so bring your seat close enough to the steering wheel to minimize the reach for your hands to grasp the wheel and roll up a towel to about the size of your forearm, and place this in the small of your back. If your seat has a tilt adjustment, start with your body sitting up perfectly straight, and tilt it slightly backward but not too much. Keep your buttocks against the back of the seat so that they do not creep forward, causing you to slump.

As your home-away-from-home, your office is just as least as important as your home if not more. you spend hours and hours in a chair and that can't be good for the back. Many aches and pains in the upper back, and possibly even headaches, may result from the muscles of the upper back growing tired of supporting the weight of the arms. Armrests support the weight of your arms and allow your neck and shoulder muscles to relax. Some people use a wrist rest to support the weight of their arms when they do not have arm rests on their chairs. These can certainly help, but be careful to use them correctly. They are designed to support your wrists and arms when you stop typing, not while you type.

While Exercising:
If your back hurts, you will probably stop exercising. But if you stop exercising, you are more likely to injure your back. it is a vicious cycle even if you hurt your back is important to exercise, the movement keeps joints in your back loose and lubricated so try to choose a variety of exercises that will condition different areas of your back and total body. However, choosing an exercise that you enjoy is as important as choosing an exercise that you need.
